Jim is so happy to be sleeping in his own bed again. He has been very tired and naps frequently. The doctor checked him out yesterday and said things are looking very good. Jim will begin his Zometa ( bone strengthening drug ) treatment next week. I give Jim IV fluids daily that will continue for a week or 2 until Jim is eating and keeping up his fluids better on his own. This week I will yet fulfill another requirement to my nursing certificate by changing the dressing on his central line. It is amazing what you find yourself doing when it becomes part of your life!
