Jim was transferred to Marianjoy Hospital yesterday afternoon. As many of you know with Jim...there is always a story, nothing is simple. I left ahead of the ambulance to go and get Jim's things set up in his new room. I was talking with staff and waiting for him to show up any minute. 1/2 hour later he arrives and looks NOT happy. Come to find out the ambulance drivers got lost and went way out of the area to transport him the 1/2 mile it is from CDH. This will be another story we can add to the book we say we will write about our experiences with Jim's illness.
Once settled in his new environment, Jim quickly relaxed and you could see the stress fading from his face. The team of caregivers we met were WONDERFUL. I know that we are just where Jim needs to be to move ahead on this journey. I pray he got a good nights sleep and know he is ready to work today.
I will let you know later how the big first day went!
