A quiet day from the perspective that Jim did not talk much at all. Unfortunately a few steps backward again. The cultures came back positive for aspergilus fungal bacteria in the lungs, so antibiotics will change again to combat that issue. The ammonia level jumped up again in the liver...which is not good either. They just finished putting a new NG tube in his nose that goes to the stomach for medication and nutrition. That was an unpleasant experience for him. We are hoping he does not pull this one out this time.

Today I am praying for some peaceful sleep and healing energy to infuse Jim while his body tries to mend.

********Within one hour of my leaving, my stubborn husband pulled out his NG tube. They were able to put it back in and then had to use soft restraints to keep him from doing it again. Why does that not suprise me!
