Today's doctor visit had mixed blessings. Jim's response to his transplant has been Excellent! His kidneys are in great shape and his counts are going up every week. He is feeling better everyday and it shows. The caveat to this is the fact that he is only 48 years old and the best way to control his disease with hope to achieve a longer remission, is to have a 2nd transplant. Jim will be having this done the beginning of November. Our doctor says that Jim should recover quicker, as he is in better shape going in this time - than last. This process is called a tandem transplant and has been successful in some studies to be the best course of action for someone Jim's age.

We are putting our faith and trust in this process, in hopes of a "back to normal" life.

Keep praying for us as we are in it for the long haul!

God Bless,
Jim and Patty
