We have settled in to somewhat of a routine as a family again. Jim has been feeling well and loves being at home with the kids (except when it is homework time). Unfortunately, I spent all of last week in pain with a bad back. I am finally able to move around more and not be laying on ice or heat all day.
We have become self sufficient with all of the medical things that need to be done daily. Jim still has an IV each day. Tomorrow we are back at Rush to see the Dr. and receive the bone strengthening treatment. Today is day 31 since the transplant. On day 60 ( Oct. 13th) Jim will see if he needs another transplant done. This is the next big hurdle. We hope and pray Jim will be in a remission and not need the 2nd transplant at that time.
These first 100 days are the most critical for Jim's immune system. Everyone has been very
understanding about the requirements in our home and the limit on visitor's.
Thanks to all of you for your help and support. We could not get through this without all that you are doing for our family.
Much Love,
Jim, Patty Becca and Jack
