The countdown is on...no not to the election, but to the day before - Nov. 3rd. Jim will be going in the hospital to have his transplant. He survived the very long day on Monday full of scans, tests and the dreaded bone biopsy.
We are mentally preparing for the hospital stay, which can feel challenging and long. Jim is on the eat anything you want, crave or have a taste for diet he enjoys his freedom these last 11 days. Thank goodness we can supplement the delicious hospital food with things from home that can be microwaved on the hospital floor. I wonder if we can get a discount for that!
We are very positive about this transplant and the future it holds for Jim. Please pray for a quick recovery and a long remission from the myeloma.

We will continue to think of you all as you go through round 2. Although it won't be easy, you know what to expect, which will help to ease your anxiety. I have no doubt that this will allow Jim to live a very long, active life. He's already shocked the doctors with his stem cell numbers. They haven't seen nothin' yet!
Hugs to you all!
Ingrid
