Things change quickly

Jim will not be coming home today or tomorrow, for that matter. His blood pressure has been very low and they had to start more fluid last night. They will review his counts in the morning and decide if Jim should have dialysis again tomorrow. Until the blood pressure is stable and they get the right amount of fluid levels in his body, he will need to stay in the hospital. As hard as it is for Jim, it is worse to get home and then have to rush down to the ER to be readmitted again. We have been through this before.

Jim is very down and can use some cheering up. Please pray that things stabilize soon, so that he can come home to rest. Transplant still on board for end of the month. The social worker was in today to give us information on financial assistance and support available through the various cancer organizations. They do a great job of making you aware of all possible resources available to help patients get through this process. One of the drugs Jim will take after the transplant is $4000 a month and not covered by some insurance plans. The social worker will run all of the drugs Jim will need through our insurance company, so that we will know ahead of time , what is covered or not. Being this is a donor transplant, Jim will be on anti rejection drugs and others for the rest of his life.

Please continue to pray for Jim's strength and endurance. Pray for god's grace to protect Becca and Jack during this difficult time.

God Bless and thank you for your support of our family.
