I am going to keep this short as it has been a very exhausting day. I got a call at 7am this morning to let me know that Jim needed a liver biopsy. His billirubin has been steadily climbing and is now at 11.2 - normal function is 1.5. They tried to get the biopsy done today, but could not as his blood is not clotting quick enough and this would put Jim in a difficult situation. I was very alarmed today when I saw him and his eyes were very yellow and skin jaundice...again part of the liver function. They will be taking him down in a few minutes to have a CT scan of his brain to rule out any bleeding in the head. He will also have an ultrasound of his kidneys. Being tomorrow is Friday we will not have results from the biopsy until Monday most likely. Not soon enough for me, but everyone here at Northwestern is doing all they can to treat the curve balls that keep coming our way.
That is all I have the energy to write at this time. I just cried on the phone with the doctor and as sure as I am that everything will work out, I am very worried today.
Please pray for everything to go well for Jim in the coming days....
Thanks for keeping up with our journey and praying for our family.
God Bless
