Transplant Day went as well as it possibly could. Jim looked good, felt good and his mental attitude was GREAT!!! He was watching the Blackhawks parade on TV as we were winding our way through it. We saw a some of the event as we walked our way to Northwestern. When we arrived, Jim was presented a Championship T-shirt to wear for the transplant. The chaplain came and spent time with us as we all prayed and blessed Barb's wonderful stem cells. My dear friend Linda from Minnesota was with me along with the kids. It was a day we will all cherish for many years. To have Becca and Jack right at his side during the procedure gave Jim great comfort. We all were in awe of the peace and tranquility in the room...everyone smiling and making the most of the moment.
I can honestly say we felt all of your prayers in the room with us as if you were right there. We feel very strongly that God has sent Jim strength through these cells and the power to heal.
My Husband is my hero and the love of my life. We believe we are on the path to a new life!
