The last few day have been inspirational for us. Last night Jim was inducted in to the Knights of Columbus. He was approached in October to join and each time an opportunity came for this to happen, he was invariably in the hospital. It finally happened in our home last night...behind closed doors. When the men emerged from the room, Jim looked happy and peaceful. What a wonderful moment and gift for him before he has to go in for his transplant. Thanks to all who made that happen.
The Pastor from the Presbyterian Church came by tonight to bring Jim a prayer shawl that was made by parishioners. The congregation has been praying for him and our neighbor was just ordained as an Elder. She came with Pastor Wendy Boden to visit and pray with us. I met Pastor Wendy recently through a family on Jack's baseball team. I find it so comforting to hear of so many people we have never met who are praying for Jim and our family. The long arms of the Lord reach far and wide.
Tomorrow is our meeting with Dr. Mehta and the consultation for Jim's radiation therapy. We are praying for a smooth day with no surprises.
God Bless
