Jim had dialysis this morning and the doctor was just in to go over things with us. His platelets are very low and hemoglobin is dropping a little each day. They are holding off on a transfusion to see if the numbers improve tomorrow. Jim's blood pressure has improved and if all goes well the plan is to bring him home on Wednesday after dialysis.
Becca and Jack made Mother's Day very special with the help of friends and neighbors. We came down to the hospital to have lunch with Jim. He was very happy to see the kids. It was so sweet of them to care so much about making it a big day for me. I am very proud of them! Now we just need to get Jim home and get back to our regular routine. Even in the midst of this turmoil, I feel the Lord's blessings each day in so many ways. I appreciate all the "angels" who keep me going each day, making me laugh and making sure I am not alone.
Thank you and God Bless

You have very special children, Patty. And please don't ever think you are alone. Although some of us can't physically be there to help you with daily things, know that you are always thought of and that we're praying for you.
Sending hugs,
Ingrid and the Holzman clan
